Hi! I'm Annie. Well, that's what my dad calls me. I'm a Southern girl - raised on sweet tea, back roads, and that famous hospitality. My parents taught me to be strong and independent. They also taught me to dream big. My life is a collection of fun, special, and highly awkward moments. I have been married for almost 10 years to my best friend. He is my nerd equal in every way. We are the parents to two fur babies - Shelby and Jax. Shelby is an overweight rescue dog with the biggest, sweetest heart in the whole world. Jax was also a rescue but I'm fairly sure he thinks he rescued us. He has all the usual stereotypical cat qualities but he's also wonderfully sweet. His favorite place is on my shoulder while I read or across my desk chair while I work.
I have a degree in sociology so that basically means that I'm nosy and I'm genuinely curious about everyone and everything. I am a photographer and I'm constantly striving to capture that perfect moment. I'm also a type 2 diabetic. I keep it in control with a little medication, diet, and exercise. It's genetic. Highly genetic. But that's a story for another day.
What else? I adore all things Elvis (I blame/thank my dad) and I love to travel. I can watch reruns of Friends, Gilmore Girls, and Frasier over and over again. And lately, I've become addicted to pickles (the thinly sliced hamburger chips).
